11/111 Lightweight Hunter Questions

Hi all, I recently got the above rifle in 7mm-08 and I'm going to have it bedded and see if the bolt can be smoothed out (it's a bit gritty).

My question is has anyone else have this done? And if so, how did they turn out?

Improving the bolt function with DIY methods is one of the most common topics on this forum I think.
