So I recently ordered a 20 MOA EGW base for my savage 12. The gun I bought had two separate pierces for ring mounts. The EGW base I bought is a single piece. The two single base pieces that Was on the gun had rounded bottoms to match the contour of the action. The one piece EGW base has one rounded bottom and the other end is flat?

Will this cause a problem? Did I order the wrong base?

Sorry, this is my first ever bolt action gun and I’ve never messed with this stuff before.

You ordered a rail for a staggerfeed 4.27 screw spacing flat back action. You need a rail for a centerfeed 4.4 screw spacing round back action.

Is this the correct base?

I’m not seeing the 4.4 center spaced?

It is the correct base for your rifle
I did notice that the link mentioned if your rifle had #8 screw mount holes that it was not the one you need.
typically savage has number 6 screw mount holes but I would check to make sure they are Number 6
Some rifle manufactures are going to the larger #8 screw mounts and I am not sure if Savage has done this as I have not gotten a new savage recently.

Edit: i looked back at the link you have and if you go down and go to the product details it lists the Savage rifles that have #8 screw mounts so you can look and see if your model is #6 or #8 screws
After all this- the easy way would be to measure your old mount screws. also on the description page they list screw diameters.
I am sorry for the long reply and hope I have not muddied the water

Just call EGW, if the link above is what you ordered then you simply received the wrong part and EGW will make it right. People do make mistakes and pull wrong parts it it was the right location with the wrong part in the package.
