I have a 270 savage axis with the 2 spring bolt. It is hard to lift to bolt the rifle. I have seen several lift kits for the one spring bolts. Any suggestions where to find a lift kit or what to do to improve this problem. All help would be greatly appreciated.

The lift kits do help, but not by that much. I put one on a 12FV and I think it cut it by a pound? You would be better off grinding and threading the bolt handle and putting on a longer knob...

Cell tech, when you added the lift kit did you do anything to compensate for the increased preload on the spring?

I will second what Robinhood wrote. I bought the Deshind bolt lift kit for my Axis. I have no means to measure the amount of force needed after install of the kit, but it is very noticeable the reduction in effort needed to open/close the bolt. Took maybe 10 minutes total to install. I recommend checking it out.
