My local club started a small bore F-class match. It is shot at 100 yards. I've shot two of the matches with my 10/22 and enjoyed myself, but I would like to use something a little more similar to my model 12 that I use for F-T/R. Does Savage make a bolt action 22lr rifle that can hold MOA at 100 yards?

You might also look around for an older target rifle.
Remington made the model 513T which was a less costly model to their model 37.
More popular however was the Winchester model 52 in both a heavy and lighter barrel version.
They also had the model 75 which was more in line with the Rem 513T.
It shouldnt be difficult finding a 513T as the military used them for small bore shooting.
At one time the Kittery Trading Post in southern Maine had lots of them in their used gun dept.
They were all solid rifles with no plastic parts and all with detachable magazines.

Savage also sold Anschutz rifles. There is a modified one for 400 on Rim Fire Central

Anshutz came along in the 50s and became a very popular choice among smallbore competetors.
My younger sister shot the same model 52 Win that i did.
The only difference was that at age 15 she became the national junior girls champion while using it, and i struggled to shoot a 98 prone with it. lol
Like all guns not all of them are created equal, some just flat out shoot better than others assuming of coarse the shooter is up to it.

Sometimes, but mostly yes if you do your homework (and testing).

Many people have had excellent results with the Savage Mark IIs, but there are some that have not. They currently offer the Mark II with a more target-oriented stock - https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=25745

I have an older target model that I recently put into a Boyds Pro Varmint stock -

Still have some work and testing to do, but it did pretty well in the original wood stock.

Not quite an Anschutz, but depending on your budget and skill level it may be just fine.

Having shot both the Rem 513T and the Win 52D ( as i have one ) the 52D is a better rifle Just MY opinion, know that this will start a whole lot of which is better.
If all else fails look at a Mossberg 144LS, Military used this rifle also.

Well there would be no argument coming from anyone who was walking around back in the day.
The 52 win was far and away the most popular, and for good reason.

An 1” at 100yds is tough stuff with a .22lr

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning toward Savage because I would like it to resemble my model 12 that I use as an F-T/R rifle. I really like the looks of jkv45's rifle. I should have mentioned earlier that I shoot left handed. I know that Anschutz makes a left handed rifle, but I would rather not spend $1500+ for a rifle right now.

My 10/22 shoots consistent 1.5" groups at 100 yards and it is not unusual to get a smaller group in very good conditions. Unfortunately they never schedule a match during very good conditions.

My 10/22 shoots little groups at 50yds
And does well at 300yds
But consistent 1.5moa groups at 100yds is tough. I’ve never shot it indoors that far. I think the wind is the main concern with the little slow bullets.

We shot our matches at a IHMSA silhouette range and it is sloping down towards the targets. We have plenty of wind flags, but they are usually bickering at each other. Once you figure out which flag is the best indicator you can usually do ok. I think that it is every bit as challenging as mid range F-class.

Here's a video on the Mark II TR in the original stock and in an ORYX chassis, at 50 and 100 yards -

Not bad. Probably could find an ammo that would improve on it if you did additional testing.

Here's another with the TR and an Savage Anschutz Model 54 Sporter -

Actually your weakest link is the .22LR ammo. I had a Savage BVLSS that would shoot awesome at 50yds and 100yds and I did really well with it. However it became clear that when I ran low on ammo and ordered more something changed and the rifle would not shoot consistent at 100yds anymore. I got frustrated and sold the rifle and have been without a .22 for a few years now.

.22 ammo is why I don't have a rimfire anymore either. I am considering doing 'position' target shooting as was looking at a rifle to train with. It looks like I might go with an air rifle instead. Still looking at the different choices, including the PCB types.

More and more guys in our local club are also going air rifle and last year they even put together a league just for air rifles shot at 30 feet and 50 feet. I actually shot one of the rifles and was most impressed and the best part is no noise or smoke, was kinda nice.

I've taken long breaks from 22lr because of ammo. I grew up going by the store on my way to plink or hunt rabbits and never gave ammo availability a thought. Now it seems like I have to plan ahead for a couple of years to go shoot.
