Hello from Cape Town, South Africa

I've had my Savage Model 12 LRP in 260 Remington for about 5 years. It's boringly accurate but I never really had a use for it so it was a safe gueen.

Been wanting to get into PRS and got hold of a 2nd hand MDT ACC. What a rifle it is now!

MDT ACC chassis
Wiebad Cheek Piece
Nightforce 20MOA pic rail and ultralight rings
Schmidt Bender PMII 5-25x56
Atlas PSR Bipod & Area 419 clamp
Axis Precision Worx 5 port brake

Shooting 130gr Berger AR Hybrid 2830fps or 2935fps with Vitha Viouri N550

Nice rifle! And welcome to the forum. Let us know how competing turns out.

Wife? Shooting partner? Or both? Good looking couple.

Hi, thank you, I really can't get over how perfect the rifle is for it's new application.

My first match was a NRL Club match in pouring rain and gusting winds. A video of that on my instagram linked above. I placed 5th/11. The weather was the enemy that day and I feel I could have placed better.

2nd match PRS Club match and it was a perfect day for shooting. I placed 1st/17.

3rd match PRS Club again was a tough match for club level. The range doesn't offer teh opportunity to shoot between 250m and 500m, most targets were between 600m & 700m with a longrange stage 700m, 800m, 900m 1000m. I placed 2nd/32.

Yes that is my wife, she is just getting into it but we've done a bit of shooting before.

She's shooting a Howa 24" Heavy Barrel in 223rem. KRG Bravo & Burris XTR II 3-15x50.
I'm loading 70gr RDF at 2970fps with Vitha Viouri N540 so the round is capable past 800m supersonic.

She is dong very well! Placed 11th/17 at her first match ever and 12th/32 at the second wich was that long range COF.
Sent a few guys home with their tails between their legs :) I'm very proud.

I just bought her a Howa 24" Heavy Barrel 6mm Creedmoor. She will definately be a contender with that rifle.

Glad to see a Savage working well in PRS. No issues with feeding and extraction?

Glad to see a Savage working well in PRS. No issues with feeding and extraction? Not 1 so far. It feeds better now out of the AICS than it did in out the standard Savage 4rnd mag.

Believe it or not the MDT chassis was my easiest option to get a 10rnd mag in this rifle.
Savage accessories are hens teeth and importing from the US to South Africa is almost impossible if you're not a big company with all the licences.

My option for a AICS bottom metal was Atlas Works from New Zealand so I rather put that money towards a chassis.
