Just recently bought the new Axis II precision. Trying to find a reasonable muzzle brake/flash hider for it. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks.

Define reasonable ...I personally like the PVA Jet Blast

Between $50-$100. MDT who outfitted the Axis Precision has one for about $120 I will pay that but if I don't have to I would prefer not too.

All of the self clocking brakes are going to be $120+, but it's nice to be able to remove them for cleaning. For the money the VG6 Gammas are nice and well built, but require shims/washers. There are also some large scale brake tests on the web if you search.

(https://muzzlebrakesandmore.com/muzzle-brakes)If you go with a non self timing brake you will need a set of timing spacers sized to match your muzzle's threads. Note that he will coat and taper his brakes to match your Bbl.

$20 ebay ones work perfect. Sometimes you can get the 3 port ones for around $12 if you look hard enough. They usually come with a crush washer and a nut. Use the one that works for you. just make sure to get the right thread and hole size. Most of the 223 ones have a 0.274" or so hole. If they are not large enough then drill them out. I just did another one for my new Ruger Ranch in 350 legend. Drilled it out to 0.40" It was a copy of the 2 port Badger Micro FTE brake.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go with the VG6 if I can find one. Everywhere I look its on back order.
