A friend of mine bought an F64 takedown for his son and it didn't come with a scope rail. He found that he can buy one from Savage... for $39. Can anyone recommend a cheaper source, or possibly provide screw spacing for the rail? Is it non-standard?

TIA

Hey Delta - No good answer for this. You could maybe get a cheap rail from some airgun supplier or something, but then you'd have to drill holes correctly, and 'make sure' that the underside of the rail matches the curve of the receiver. I had a similar issue with my 'standard' 64 and had to bite the bullet and get an OEM part. I didn't want to try to match the curve and f-up, even if it was a cheap rail. You might find something from Numrich or Brownells, or Bass Pro ??

eBay has one for $16.99. I just plugged in Savage 64f and it was the first item on the page.

I realize I'm a bit late, but I just got one of these for my 62f to mount a Red Dot to. Seems to be pretty decently built.
