My name is Keith Boyd from New Jersey. New to the world of shooting. My wife and I are enjoing ourselves. I do have a question. We have my wifes father(rest in peace) Savage rifle. the barrel is full octagon and the serial number is 5519. How can I find out what model it is?

Hey Keith. Welcome. If it is a lever action it is probably a model 99. Maybe you could let us know more about it.
