I just came across a Savage 99c chambered in 7mm-08. It was made in mid 80's and there is really nothing special about the rifle other then the odd chambering. reading up a little on it, I understand it is a relatively rare rifle because of the caliber. I wonder how much this can be worth? It is not in a mint condition. It was a rifle working in the field for past over 3 decades so there are couple of rusty spots and the original varnish starts to crack around the butt. Having said that, it is fully functional without any repairs or major gauges/cracks.

I would appreciate any ideas on the value of the rifle.

Thanks

Looks good. Don't know the value but you will get some answers here soon probably. The 7mm-08 Cambering does make it more interesting, Are you buying or selling it?

I am thinking to buy it with an option to resale in near future :)

Man, that is a good eye. it would explain why it feels loose...

It was backwards and the set screw was loose, it is fixed now. At least I will not loose it :)
