Does anyone know if there have ever been any books written about Arthur Savage? My son, who is fascinated with inventing and tinkering with things, would probably love a book about Arthur Savage, especially since he invented so many different things, radial tires, a torpedo, etc. along with firearms.

No complete books just about him, but the book "Savage & Stevens Arms, Collectors History" by Jay Kimmel has a chapter dedicated to his life and accomplishments in it. That's probably about the best you'll find and is what most all of the more recent "online bios" for him are based off of.

Watch out if your son is younger as at the age of 81 Arthur Savage killed himself.
