View Full Version : Most accurate .350 Legend deer loads by manufacturer
For those of you shooting the .350 Legend for deer. What have you found to be the most accurate brand and weight?
I tried some Wins, some Hornady 180 grain and 165 grain Hornady flex tips. The 165 grain Hornady flex tips were soot free and the most accurate. Right at 1 inch at 100 yards. I can live with that for the ranges we shoot.

Run into any feeding issues from the magazine? One I had in for review would feed the first round fine, but about 50% of the time the second and third rounds would either not be picked up by the bolt or would nose-dive into the mag. Seems a lot of others have experienced feeding issues with the .350 Legend as well (and the .450 Bushy for that matter).
The rifle I have is a bolt action Thompson Center Venture II. I have had no feeding problems first, second or third shot from the same IF I aggressively cycle the bolt. If I am too kind in pushing the bolt in I have had some difficulties. If the bolt is cycled hard, then no problem.

Your T/C sounds like my Henry Long Ranger .308 lever gun (similar to a Browning BLR but with a MUCH better trigger). If I don't work the lever like a red-headed step child it will jamb up every time requiring me to remove the magazine to clear. Work it hard/fast and it runs just fine.
