I am looking for any loads that worked well in a similar setup. I am shooting a model 12 LPV. My best grouping pills so far have been 105 Grn A-Max. I was expecting the 9.25 twist to like the lighter stuff but have not found that truth yet.

I use the Barnes 85 gr. TSX , but mine is in a Rem 6mm.

the best powders I have found are R-19 ( 1st choice), & H-4350 ( 2nd choice)

have shot over 75 deer with the above combinations. bang-flop

Thank you! Have some worked up in H4350, about to try the R19 now, I saw a load somewhere on this site using 38.7 grns of R15.
Some fun range time coming up. What is your twist in that barrel?

For the Barnes TSX's, mine is a 1:9 , a Pac-Nor SSSM, on one of my Ruger #1's.

I also have a Rem 6mm, 1:9 McGowan, on my Savage VLP.

haven't shot any Barnes out of it. use it for ground hogs, & punching paper.

I use H-4350 with Hornady 75 gr. V-Maxes, & 105 gr. A-Maxes. really hard to tell the difference between the R-19, & the H-4350 in my rifles, except maybe a tad more velocity & accuracy with the R-19. of course, that may just be one of my good days shooting too.
