I recently bought a used Stevens 200 in 308.It is centerfeed, top bolt release, and has action screws spaced at about 4.40"..I got the gun cheap enough to spend a little on it,and would like to upgrade the stock. The one I have my eye on is for a Savage 11G https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1050790 I think it is a bottom release, and figure that I may be able to make it work..What say you? If I do buy it will I need action screws? Will my trigger guard fit? Thanks

I built up a 308 using a very nice blued Savage model 11 action and sporter barrel, also glossy blue and put it in a similar stock from Stocky's. Came out beautiful, is very accurate, but KICKS LIKE A MULE! I had to put a limb saver pad on it so it wouldn't dislocate my shoulder. Most painful gun I ever fired.

The stock you link to seems to have a nice pad. Trust me, you'll need it when shooting factory 175 gr hunting loads. :o

The stock you are looking at is an older SA stagger feed with blind magazine well. A SA center feed will not work without modifying the stock screw hole spacing and modifications to the oversized magazine well.
