Good Afternoon,
I just completed a barrel swap on my LRPV 6BR. I looked all through the Savage manual and can't find any recommended torque settings for the stock bolts and the trigger guard. Anyone have any idea what is recommended?

Thanks in advance, Ken

Savage suggests 25-30 inch pounds of torque, but Fred Moreo @ SSS suggests 45-55 inch pounds. I'm using 65 inch pounds(pulled down evenly & progressively) starting @ 25 inch pounds then 45 then 65. SSS also did the skim bedding over the bedding block. Works great! Tang screw doesn't need as much torque---just snugged up good. Good luck...gpoldblue

where can I get a torque wrench, I took my stock off to adjust the Accutrigger and was not aware that there were specific torque settings that the screws had to be tightened back to, I just made them hand tight.
