As a long time vintage Remington guy. I recently fell in love with a savage 99 found at a rural gun shop. I have done my home work in reading everything i can find, as well as surfing all the auction sites and cannot find one like it. Im sure this site has the guys with the answers. Rifle is a 1939 Savage 99 in 303 cal. 22" barrel no checkering, pistol grip stock with cap, schnabel forend, integral front sight base. very light and very accurate. thanks for any help.
