Looks like it is ready for a Texas whitetail. What twist is that rifle Bob?

1.9.5. There is an opinion that 100 gr bullets are borderline for that rate of twist. I used factory ammo, and I did not detect any serious issues. I choose to use a little heavier bullet since I am a hunter, not a target shooter.
Might give the Federal 95gr Fusion stuff a go. Shot pretty good in every Savage 243 I have had.
Are you kin to the "original Bad Bob" ,"Mexican Bad Bob?" Neither or both?

Since I turned 85 last month, I may be the original Bad Bob!:pop2: I am happy with the factory ammo so far, but when I reload I might try a lighter, boat-tailed bullet
The 58gr Hornady Superformance was a real hoot in my 243's. "light speed" and pretty accurate. Definitely worth a go.
And by the way. GO AGGIES!

You won't get any arguement on that from me. I have an Axis I bought a couple of years ago in 243. I sure like shooting it. I was going to head out and shoot it Sunday but it was 116. I chicken out.
