I want to put an Accustock from a bottom bolt release 10TR on a top bolt release 12FV. Is it as simple as filing a relief into the side of the stock for the release tab?

Thanks Fred

I did that to my 10T Accustock and it worked fine. I used the end of a rat tail file to file out the excess material. Take your time and keep working at it until the top bolt release lever functions smoothly without any binding. I recall that you will have to use the Accustock trigger guard as the one from your 12FV may not fit the Accustock. Good luck.

One more thing. The recoil lug of your 12FV will not fit in the Accustock. You will have to either replace it with the Accustock style lug or reshape it to fit in the slot that is cut into the aluminum rail.

Thanks Bill. How much material did you need to remove from recoil lug?

I used the Accustock lug so I can't answer your question.

Just installed mine in an AccuStock. Had a new lug to go by so shaped the sides and bottom to match. Then took .030 off the front face.
