In the Savage FAQ section you will find a way to determine which shank it is by measuring the barrel nut.

Thanks, BUT I haven't taken position of the weapon yet.
I decided I don't want to start another collection of bullets,dies,ect for a 6.5 CM. I already have everything I need for 6 BR, Probably going with a new Bbl in 6 BR. Maybe 6 CM
