If so, how did it work out?

Thanks

A 12FV fits like a glove and works great. The MDT magazine works best but I have modified a Ruger RPR mag to work as well...

Those are nice. One of them is a .223, correct? Looks like all have been re-barreled.

Can't get much better than this - https://www.savageshooters.com/showthread.php?64623-Documented-results-from-replacing-the-12-FV-factory-stock-with-an-Oryx-Chassis

The green one is a .223. And yes, they all have X-Caliber barrels. They are Savage varmint profiles so the look would be the same.

I bought a 12FV last Black Friday sale. Sold the stock and barrel, then screwed on a criterion barrel and put it in an Oryx chassis. It's heavy, but I never intended to carry it around, it's a varmint gun. Shoots great and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Oh, I bought additional LOP spacers because I'm tall and couldn't be happier.
Another worthwhile mod is the cheek piece screws: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HGRJKML/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
