Anybody shooting cast boolits in a model 16 .250 Savage?I definitely don't shoot cast in mine.. that would be a mess I would think not to mention possible harmful to your health. Thats such a fast round and a pretty descent charge that I would expect it may vaporize some of the lead and needless to say you don't want to breathe that :/

Never shot em' out of mine but more then several tons out of a
30/30 336. 1800 fps, with a gas checked, 4 grease groove, 160
grain, hard cast with a 50/50 mix of #2 alloy and linotype. Saeco
molds were prefered but Hensley and Gibbs are great if you can
find them for the 25's

Look up Moyer's Cast bullets.
