OK here is the thing.
I have recently worked up two outstanding loads for my rem 700 8mm rem mag. One is a Barnes 200 TSX running at 3200 fps and a Sierra 220 gameking that is going just a few fps less than 3100.
Both shoot 5 group shots at an inch at 200 yards. The 220 have a "little" more felt recoil. I'll use it for Elk, bear, and an unfortunate mule deer on occasion. Unlikely over 400 yards. Which one would you zero in on? The Sierra's are a bit cheaper but not by much.
I have a lot of faith in Barnes bullet and use them in most of my hunting situations in multiple calibers. But kinda looking for a big bullet for a big gun. Thoughts?

I will suggest the 200s as they are Barnes bullets and I've not found a more solid bullet yet. 200 grains is big enough to take anything you might want to point it at except maybe an elephant.

I have great susses and faith in all the calibers I shoot Barnes bullets in.
Just looking at energy and speed retained at longer distances.
Got a BIG boomer kinda want a BIG boomer bullet.

Not quite sure where your going with that thought.
I have always looked at most people here to have great Knowledge and insight.

I think he means that you're a darn good shooter, reloader, or whatever... And your own insight is probably better than anyone here will be able to suggest. If you can put the bullet where you want to with that kind of regularity, it doesn't matter what bullet you use really.

Which one would you zero in on?

Drop with a 100yd zero is same for both (22") as is retained energy at 400yds (GK=2397lb ft, TSX=2407lb ft).

Which would I use? The one I had the most faith in. ;-)

I have 150 loaded 200 Barnes and 50 loaded 220 Sierra's both loaded with reloader 26.
With only about 75 shells per pound or powder, and a, buck plus, a bullet I'll only shot enough to pick which one.
As soon as the mud clears up enough to get out to where I shoot I'll set out my 500 yard target and do some Paper work. The winner will be my hunting load I guess, they are almost twin loads I know.
Now if I just had twin bears to try them on...
