The instructions on their site states that a 3 position safety is required. Is any safety required ? This would be going on a single shot ,so a safety really isn't required . So, has anyone installed one of the Jard triggers w/o the safety ?

The rear of the trigger housing clips into the safety slot.... There may be a dimensional issue. I'm not sure.

Yes. I rebuilt an early 00's Savage Model 10 that had an older style 3 position safety. While I waited for the one from Jard I installed the trigger and it worked just fine.

When I put my swap bbl. together ,223 & 308 bolts by SSS, I put a Rifle Basix-2 in it, and didn't use any safety, it's going in for a blueing so the RB will go back on

Yes, the Jard 3 lever trigger will work without a safety. With a loaded round, if the trigger sear is tripped, the rifle will fire. The original Savage trigger bar will not work with the Jard. To have a safety for the Jard, we have to order the optional Jard trigger safety bar. Cost is $49.95 plus $5.45 SH.

“Shooter”, I would like to hear what kind of shooting You intend to do with the Jard, hunting, competitive target? And, what trigger weight model You intend to use.

Your experience and feed back with the use of this trigger would be of great value to many of us.

Thanks...GG

GG,
The $ 220.00 + $ 49.95 + probably the two S&H charges IS the reason I'm going back with the RB-2 in the swap Bbl. set up after it gets re blued , AND the reason I sold a LA 110 , and just bought a Rem. 700 for the action.
I only shoot from bench's at 300,600 and 900 yds. And, would have gotten the heavier of their offerings so there would not have been much difference between the bolt guns and the custom AR-10's
