Felt like a little kid again !!

Back in the early 60's I can remember the school bell ringing,
then standing in order in a classroom to be herded out to a
large hallway. Back then it was standard to have a bomb drill,
but this was different. We all sat cross legged on the floor
while a black and white TV was set up to watch the first man
to be launched into space. Well yesterday after seeing the
Falcon-9 with 2 of our boys going up, it some how brought back
them memories. I just hope, most of us can still be around when
we head for Mars and beyond. I'm a fan.....

I had some of those same feelings come back to me on Saturday. I'm a tad bit younger but can still recall a teacher letting us watch the Apollo moon shots on the TV in the classroom. I was captivated by those missions and the astronauts during that period. I also remember watching some MLB playoff and World Series games in class back when they were still played during the afternoon.

I'm kinda excited about getting back to the Moon in a few years.

Yeah Man !! Used to sneak in a transister radio with the ear phone jack.
Miss those afternoon games.
