Savage 116 Barrel jacket?

Hello,

i`m Markus from Germany and i have a question about my savage 116 with cal. .338winmag.
I would like to have a barrel thread cut on the weapon.
When I look at the barrel from the front, I ask myself whether the barrel is made of one piece or whether a barrel jacket is covered.
If it is a barrel jacket, how do I remove it? Thanks in advance
