116 XP trophy Hunter to Metal

Will my bottom bolt release trigger guard work with an older premium non-bottom bolt release metal? Minor or major work if not? I screwed up and ordered a Spike camp 116 bottom bolt release instead of one for a 116 XP Trophy hunter. I'll suck up my mistake because they are built on demand and get the bottom metal.

The one I'm looking at does have the notched out/thinner bit at the rear by the mag release, but the the trigger guard that comes with it is not bottom bolt release.

Good. I couldn't stomach the plastic guard on my M11 and replaced it with metal from Gun Shack. I guess plastic is lighter, good enough, and Glock and car bumpers have shown poly is serviceable but . . . nope.
