I have a savage 111 chambered in 270 win. Measuring 1-9 twist. Barrel is stamped A3,M and sa or 90 by the nut. I have been hunting with this rifle close to 15 years and want to start reloading for distance but all the the data I have found is based on 1-10 twist. Has anyone seen this before and where can I find reloading information for this twist rate?

Dont worry about the twist, your 9 twist might be slightly better for the heavier bullets than a 10 twist would, but otherwise just follow the data shown in a manual and have fun.

Will twist affect what powder I should be using?

It actually affects nothing, other than a slight affect on how it could stabilize bullets of heavier weight.
Jack OConner was a diehard 270 fan. He preferred using 4320 powder in 06 size cases like the 270 is
because it flows thru a powder measure well due to the grain size.
He was correct it does, and It also produces very good accuracy, so id reccomend you try it.
