Last year at about this time I purchased a Model 10 Trophy Hunter XP in .223 Rem. It came with a Nikon 3-9x40mm scope. I got a good deal on a Leupold 4.5-14x40mm from a friend, and also installed Leupold rings. It's a really nice shooter.

I have always wondered, though, what the difference is between the Model 10 and 110?

If one of you gents would be so kind as to list the basic differences, I would be appreciative.

Be safe and shoot straight!

The two number (eg 10) models were short action calibers and three number models (eg. 110) were long action calibers. All current Savage models are now designated with three numbers (eg 110) whether LA or SA calibers.
