I'm retired Marine living in Long Island, New York.As of right know I don't have a Savage Rifle But looking for one.

Hi GaCop, As i mention, I'm looking for a Savage rifle, in a 223 caliper, why because That's the dies that i have to reload with, I was looking at 110 Hunter model in 223 caliper, someone
said that 110 models are long action and that I would be better off with a long action then short action, I don't know?
As for the stock, most Savage models come with plastic stock, so what I'm faced with is, Do I buy a rifle that has better stock( accu-stock) or pay less and get after-market parts?
Hopefully you guys can give me advice on these Matters.
PS- my wife is from Sandy Springs. GA.
