Looking for a pre-safety peep on a 1928 99

I recently picked up a Savage 99 Takedown in .30-30, to go with my 99F in .308. According to the database, it was made around 1928. Putting a peep sight on the 99F was easy... Williams makes their great FP sight for it. Not so much with the TD, however.

I found Marbles makes a sight assembly for the 1899, some reviews I've read say they have mounted it on a 99 as well, and I'm just wondering if anyone here has done it?

Period correct and they work great!!
