I guess I'm going to go ahead and purchase a pre fit barrel for my savage 12 lrp in 6.5 creedmoor.
From my research I can't find much of a differnce in the 2 barrel makers.

I've shot both, and my current 6.5 Creed has a Criterion.
It's a standard 6 groove, 8 twist, And loves them heavy
pills. I bought the Criterion only because I had not spun
one up before. It was a choice I do not regret.

I would like to hear more on this subject. I am faced with the same decision.

I have barrels from both. I would be willing to bet most of us on here are not good enough shooters to ever see a difference between them. Both brands shoot well and cleanup is a snap with either. Pick either one and you will be happy

I have a question. I put together a 110 with a shilen select match hvy spotter 6.5x55. Boyd's at1 stock. Used some cheap ammo to shoot clean shoot clean about 15 shots. It was cleaning up pretty good. Ok went to nosler trophy grade 140 accubond factory. Hell it shot less than .5 at 100, continued to shoot less than moa at 200 and300 yards question is where do I start for reloading. Is this gonna be hard to beat, or do I start trying to beat it. 140 accubond seated to the same depth as the factory ammo?

The short answer: If your happy with the factory ammo group size, shoot the factory loads.

Reloading will typically produce smaller groups.
I enjoy working up a load for a new rifle, others might not.
A lot of variables are at work when loading for 1/2 moa or below.
The rabbit hole can be deep LOL

I have both criterion and shilen barrels and I believe you will be pleased with either one.
