Accurate mag vs. Savage bottom metal

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. For those of you that have the newer Savage bottom metal that accepts AICS mags and the Mag bottom metal, what is the difference. The AM looks beefier but the release mechanism looks similar. Any advantage for either one?

I have the Accurate mag set up on a rifle but not any experience with the Savage bottom metal- However (and I have no idea if this is actually true) when I talked to them at Acc Mag they told me that they are the supplier of the Savage factory bottom metal.

In any case- the A Mag works very good for me.

The factory AI mag bottom metal will not work on stocks other than the AccuFit with AccuStock skeleton and shorter recoil lug. This is because of the inlet for the bottom metal being deeper, and if trying to install on a stock inlet for a regular length recoil lug the two inlets will intersect leaving a hole between them.
