I have already looked at a couple threads on this topic, but just wondering if someone new/better/cheaper...making after market bolt handle?

Not much love for the Axis aftermarket...so it's a great opportunity for a DIY knob. Watch Dr. Thunders video on cutting and threading. I have done a handful of them and they turned out pretty good.

I was afraid of that...

celltech, I dislike the the look of the bolt handle of the Axis...that semi skeletonized look, looks cheap to me, but I am a DIY kind of guy, so I will take a look at it!


Not sure why no love for the Axis, but I too have noticed it...the action is a very sound action to build on. I don't know how to post pics here, but I have pictures of my Axis build on page three of this thread...

Almost all of my Axis bolt handles were hitting my scopes so I ground some reliefs in them, filled in the voids with JB Weld and painted them. Maybe one day I will get a TIG welder and really have some fun :-)
