Hello, just ordered my first Savage today. Long Range Hunter in 280AI. Not sure if I needed it, but hey I may want to go out west hunting someday. Really, I told my boys I want to go out west and do an Elk or Mule deer hunt someday. Been shooting most of my life(I’m 53), although I don’t shoot as much as I like. My late FIL got me into reloading(yeah it will save you $$��). Been playing with my sons 264WM, which is in the shop getting bedded. Was looking for something long range for me, was thinking about 25-06, 6.5x284, then got intrigued by the 280AI. Hope it shoots as good as most people say they do. Although I think all my guns shoot way better then I do.
