I see Savage has a new axis precision msrp around 950. the chassis is from mdt can you get it from mdt alone . I don't see it offered on their web site . I don't see the rifle on main gun buying sites so I don't know what street price is. No reviews no opinions from any one that I have found . Any info is helpful. Thanks .

I'd be happy if Magpul would just make their dang Hunter stock for Savage. Why they are throwing away money by not doing so baffles me.

I went with a arch angel stock I guess it's more for bench rest in prone precision shooting but it is a very nice stock And a houge on one of my other savages

Did Savage change the recoil lug for those rifles? It would be nice if they did.

That chassis currently isn't available from MDT directly. Not sure if it's a contracted chassis strictly for Savage, or if it's just something new they haven't cut loose to the public yet due to production being solely dedicated to filling Savage's needs at this time. Remember these are press releases for new/upcoming products, and when it's something brand new they often won't even start production until sometime in Q2.

As for price and availability, you likely won't see these hit the dealers until late spring or early summer. Street price will probably be around $800 give or take.
