Above scope is available for $530. It would be used on a 26 Nosler which I’ve never fired after three years of ownership. Barrel is 26” McGowen medium sporterish. Use would be white tail and paper. 10-20 rounds per year. I don’t need the HTR target dials but could live with them.

Any experience with this scope or comments on intended use?

Ive thought about another Swaro Z5 but at half the price the Meopta has my curiosity.

If you get time I would love to hear a quick review on it

I will give it a college try, although as I actually took a class in it I’m slightly more qualified to discuss art history. My point of reference will be my Swaro Z5.

The Savage LA 26 Nosler will be the highest recoil I’ve handled so I’m expecting fair to midland results on my end. If the mild Wisconsin January continues into February I can break in the barrel and get used to the scope. Have to decide on base and rings.

Probably go with 20 moa base. The scope is described as long by today’s standards. Does a long scope imply a picatinny rail is better? Have Tally one piece rings on the Savage 260 Rem and and Leupold mounts and rings on a Rem 700. So I don’t have a preference.

A long scope gives you more flexibility rather than a short one IMO. Of course, a rail gives you even better flexibility, but much more needed for stubby scopes.

Ive never looked thru anything Meopta.
But a guy i know well enough to trust his opinion, works at Euro Optics in PA.
At least as for spotting scopes, he claims they are the best he has seen, and for sure he has seen all of them.

Thanks, Gents. Good to hear about their good glass and rail mount.

Found this scope review today. I finally have the scope mounted and home to add personal notes soon.

Yes, the low rings had clearance.
