What's your opinion on this used scope deal?

I found a used Sightron SIII 10-50x60 LR 30mm tube 1/8 MOA adjust with fine crosshair reticle for $760. These list for $1,080 brand new most places they are sold. It is graded as showing obvious signs of use. The photo looks ok but it's hard to tell. The seller has a 10-day inspection/return period. I need to check the Sightron lifetime warranty terms.

look for scope ring compression. if he shows the scope with rings on it you may want a closer look.

Bill, There are a lot of Sightron 10-50 x 56's for sale on Accurate Shooter,and they all are in that price range-used. I don't have that particular scope,but I do own 5 Sightron's. They are great scopes,and have some of the best tracking in the industry.
Sightron's warranty is legit,I bought a used SII years ago and the elevation turret stem came loose. I called them,and sent it in,they fixed it for free and sent me a box full of Sightron swag to boot!

Can you ask the seller questions? I have bought a couple of Sightrons recently, but it was face to face.

One was a SIII 8-32 and one a S-Tac 4-20. Both very nice for the price.
