geezerhood

I am tempted to get one of these. Has anyone here tried one yet? I own the MOA reticle version with the capped turrets and like it. Optically and mechanically comparable to my more expensive S3 series Sightrons.

The price - $550 was the lowest price I found - and the specs are both appealing - Zero Stop and illumination plus exposed knobs. The only big negative for me, which might be a positive for others, is the Milradian calibration. I prefer MOA on everything I own, plus I don't like what I consider to be too coarse of clicks at 1/10 Mil (~0.344 MOA). 1/8 MOA is what I prefer if I can get it but 1/4 MOA is as coarse as I would ever want on any scope. Hopefully they will offer it later in MOA calibration. I would also like to see a 2nd focal plane version in MOA with the Zero Stop and the illumination.
The .035 Mil / 0.120 MOA line subtension at the center of the reticle sounds like it would work fine at 20x, but would be virtually impossible to see at 4x. I guess they expect you to use the 0.5 Mil / 1.72 MOA thick bars at 9, 12 and 3:00 as quick sighting indicators for close range shots at wider zoom levels, floating the target in the center of the heavy lines.
