Barrel swap

I have a model111 in 300 winmag and I’m interested in swapping the barrel to 6.5cr.
Is this a possibility ? Is it feasible ?

You will need a new bolt head and mag (or a little tweaking of the feed lips)but it’s very feasible, many have done it. 6.5 feeding from a long action isn’t optimal but it works.

The creedmoor was designed for a short action but many a short action cartridges have been used with long actions.

Built my Creedmoor on an older stagger feed long action that was originally 25-06. Creedmoor rounds feed nicely from the magazine.
