Hello all and thanks for allowing me to join in on a wealth of information. I have several Savage firearms but my newest to the collection is already my favorite. I ran into an old Savage model 99 in the 250-3000 caliber for what I thought was a fair price so I turned over the dead presidents and now it's in my safe. After a little research by serial number I found it to be a 1915 which was the very first year for that caliber best I can tell. Anyhow, thanks again and I look forward to leaning more about these Savage firearms.
