I have received a lot of advice from other members suggesting that I look at buying used optics. Outside of this forum, what are some of the better online sources to find good quality used optics?

Thank you

I'll echo that recommendation, worked great for me. SH also has a bunch.

funny no one mentioned the hide.I think @PhilC mentioned "SH" which I take to be Sniper's Hide a.k.a. The Hide.

I could be wrong, as I often am.

SWFA has a decent selection of used and demo optics. Last time I checked, they didn't have what I was looking for but I expect that can change week to week.

The PX section on SnipersHidedotcom. There are always good deals going but most are higher end optics. Very little in the way of sub $500 scopes.

After my eye Dr told me I’ve lost 3/4 of my vision I asked for a second opinion. He said buy Swarovski. So I’ve been looking at a couple forums but no magic deal yet. My trip to the foggy range today with a Z5 and old Leupold reminded me of the difference.

Readers, consider a glaucoma test for 2020.

If you buy a used scope, get the serial number before you buy and call the manufacturer to make sure it’s a legitimate scope. I learned a very expensive lesson the hard way.
Midway has been running 50% sales on different scopes. The deals change often, so if you have time to look and wait ... Their Christmas deals are still on. I’m not associated with Midway - I’m just really happy they ran a sale on a scope I could not have purchased at regular price :-)

I felt funny about buying used unless I knew the person, and
especially optics. Advice my pappy gave me years ago.....
"Buy new and create your own junk" !!

Good deals can be found on Gun forums, just watch out for the
guy that jumps on and that's his first post.....
