Looking for your alls input on this optic cabelas running a sell any info on there 4x16 or 4x24 in the hst line would be great I'm considering the 4x24 but if the 4x16 be better because of glass quality I might go that route. I know there pst line is flag shp but the price is quite a bit more max range I would ever use be around 800 yrds with alot of 100 yrd paper punching

Not. I would spend the extra money on a leupold or even a sightron and be done with it. I have had nothing but horrible luck with vortex optics.

I’ve looked through them on the range and not very impressed. Go pst or different manufacture. I’m a swfa HD fan at the price point.

The only Vortex I would consider is their Razor line which is much higher priced, I have seen tracking issues with several of them even the Razors. For your price range I would also suggest looking at the SWFA 3-15 x 42 if you will be dialing in the field at all.

Its weird i have never had any problems with vortex i have low end up to the pst gen ii 5-25x50. Everone holds true. my hst has been on my gas gun for over 3 yrs still holds zero. Just like anything u might get a bad one i now guys that hate leupold for one bad issue. But i would look at the pst line

I’d vote for the Vortex. At the shop we buy/use Vortex #1 and NF #2 then Leopold #3. I’ve used Vortex from the low end Crossfire II’s up to the RazorHD’s. No issues. Heck even one of the guys in the shop sold his $3000+ NF scope and switched to a NF GE and didn’t regret it.
