Sunday at the Range with my 12FV

It was a nice sunny day in Northern Indiana yesterday so I got in some time at the range. I was doing some load development with the Sierra Match King 53 gr hollow point and H322 in my 12 FV .223 Rem.

I shot a pair of groups at five different loadings and came away with two good looking groups (for my skill level) at a loading of 23.7 grains H322.

Several other loadings were looking good but I managed to pull a flyer on each one. I struggle with shooting consistency so I never know how good the load can shoot vs. my abilities.

All in all, a pretty good day at the range and way more enjoyable than dragging boxes of Christmas decorations out of the basement.

Very nice! I love the little 53gr V-Max bullets on top of H4895 in my 12FV.

Very nice! I love the little 53gr V-Max bullets on top of H4895 in my 12FV.

The 53gr V-Max is my favorite bullet. It shoots well in all of my rifles with H322 or W748.
