New member here, I have had Savage rifles for over 25 years. Probably like a lot of you here, I find Savage rifles to be great value for the money. I started with a Savage 112FV in .223 as my first bolt action varmint rifle. I acquired a Savage Axis in 7mm-08 for my sons to use deer hunting with me when they first came out. My dad's mid-50's Savage Model 99EG in .300 Savage came back into my life a few years ago, which I cherish. My interest these days is in pump .22s, so I came here looking for information and history on the Savage Model 29 line. My uncle had one that was pretty beat up that I saw when I was a kid back in the late 70s / early 80's and I vowed to have me one some day.
I forgot about my Savage Stevens single barrel 12 gauge that I paid $40 for and was my main squirrel gun through my teens.
