So I wanted to texture my new Savage Tac with choate tac stock, I have seen all of the ideas passed around but wanted larger grip holes, I sanded the stock, cleaned it, masked the area, mixed accru-glass gel, added black dye,

put it on the stock, took some Bubble rap –sprayed it with Remington Rem-Oil, brushed in the valley’s on the bubble wrap them placed it on the bedding I pressed firmly allowing the bedding to seep into the valleys, I let dry about 5 hours then took off the bedding

The next morning I filed / sanded it and painted it.

Wow! Thats pretty grippy looking ;D Wished that stock was available when I ordered my Choate UV stock! With the new centerfeed action, the UV was the only pick at the time, but it still better then the Folder it replaced.

how do you like the stock? I've been considering buying one for well over a month now and can't make a decision between the choate and the B&C medalist. Is the palm swell really as large as everyones been making it out to be?
