Rifle Basix SAV-1 and Model 16 question

Geez haven't been to this forum in many years, think the Axis was brand new last time I was here.
Anyway; deer on ground, went to cycle remaining rounds out of magazine, must have had one not quite sized right and jammed the bolt. OK. Took it back to the farm, tapped it with a rubber mallet and broke it free. The above mentioned trigger is set to 2#, to match a .223 used in the summer. Trigger pull still feels about the same, but now safety lets trigger go in both safe positions. The move bolt position breaks with little pressure on trigger, the bolt lock position you have to pull pretty hard but will still break. Pretty sure I know what needs fixing, but would like the group's 2 cents to see if I'm on the right track.

Go through a complete sav-1 trigger adjustment including the safety screw sounds like it a hair loose or "worn". Use a non-hardening thread locker ( loctite blue ?)....double check with slam fire & bump tests...
You probably will be ok....then figure out your brass/load problem...lol

They are pretty simple. Just need to set up properly.

In addition to mike21's & Dave's links to the RB trigger, here is instructions for a Timney trigger that are almost identical in operation & sequence. I feel the Timney instructions are a little more detailed and easier to understand if that helps anyone.

My thoughts are the safety screw too. Since we all concur that's where I'll start. The folks at Rifle Basix said if I need any parts they'll be on the way. Nice guy.
Yah the reload has me stumped. Brass only goes through this rifle, and is neck sized. When I gain confidence the rifle is again safe, will check the rest of the shells.
