Real good looking stock finish, what wood did you use.

I used what I had on hand. The Ruger was glued up from 3 pieces of sycamore. The others were walnut, one might have been english. The finish was miniwax wipe on poly satin.

Sycamore is a cabinet grade hard wood, i know this as here in Philly Pa. sycamore is on almost every street the tree outside my father's house was cut down the way it was done was it was limed out then the trunk (trunk was twenty feet long and four feet dia. lots of board feet) was cut at the at ground level and hauled away on a lift back truck.
Made money both ways cut down the paid at the saw mill.
