bore cleaner

Has anyone tried using a citrus based cleaner on rifle/pistol bores/parts-I know it works really well on greasy tools/parts.

I haven't used any. But i would think you wouldn't want to "strip" that much of the leftover oil off.

Nope. Ed's Red or the modified version is too easy and cheap to mix up. Works as well or better than most other concoctions out there. The only caveat is it does not eat copper. For that I use KG12. Magic stuff.
