https://ibb.co/8xGj51NHi all, I am interested in this rifle online but the owner claims it to be a Savage 243 cal. model 16 lightweight the trouble is I don't see any weight saving fluting on the bolt or action. I am a little confused, so what model do you think it is guy's?

It may be an old/older rendition, but the only models of "lightweight Hunter's" I have seen are the model 16 & 11, both of which have a fluted bolt. I would movr on.
If you're interested in an actual Savage 16 243 lightweight hunter, I would recommend going to Bud's gunshop. Search "Savage 16" or "LWH" and you will find listings for that specific rifle in 7mm-08, 243, & 270 in stock.

The second link is a model 11 as mentioned.
Once again, I wouldn't buy that rifle you pictured, but good luck!

I'm not actually looking for a lightweight rifle but this one caught my attention because it looked heavier than a lightweight and in stainless, but I wonder if it is miss-advertised. Could it be a MODEL 16 Weather Warrior? The heavier the better so I can put a heavier & longer Shilen barrel on it. Thanks for your help Isacpotatoes.

That's a standard Model 16 FCSS from the Weather Warrior Series, or what today is called the 110 Storm. Depending on how old it is it could be a plain tupperware stock (2005-2008) or an AccuStock (2009+).

Maybe try clicking on the Stickied topic at the top of this board called "Dating Serial Numbers with a Letter Prefix"? Just a suggestion... :very_drunk:
