Hello, new to the forum. I have a new to me Savage Model 12 LRPV in 204 Ruger Right hand dual port, and would like to know if someone could advise me on a model number for a one piece Leupold Std Mount, and what size rings would you suggest if I mount a Vx-3 6-20-50mm scope on it. Sorry for the long thread. Thanks, Jeff

I prefer the weaver or picatinny type rails and corresponding rings to mount optics with. Allows you to place the scope exactly where it is needed for the proper eye relief.

Brand of scope base is up to you and your wallet. The EGW bases have been excellent.

Rings - Burris Signature Zee in medium will be the best bet for your application. Protects the scope body and provides inserts of 0, +/- 10 moa, +/- 20 moa inserts so you can custom tailor the mounting of the scope for the intended application.

Thank You, I will check on this mount, also Ken Farrell mounts look good too!
