Hello!
I have a savage model 110 with long action screw spacing, but it is cut for a short action length cartridge. (Originally 243.) Is this going to cause problems with the magazine if I put it in a chasis? The magazine would have to be for a long action, but the way the receiver is cut it needs to feed from a short action magazine. Are there magazines out there that are designed to deal with this issue?
The action if an F prefix serial numbers. Looks like it was made in 1999.
What's the best way to go about getting this in a chasis?
Thanks for your help!

Confessed, you have a long action, with the proper mounting screw spacing for a long action. But the action is "cut" for short length cartridges ??
Like the old saying goes," A picture is worth a thousand words".

Sell it and get either a long action or a short action. You could see if a chassis builder will make you a custom chassis.
